Complete Your New Patient Paperwork

Yakima Valley Chiropractic offers the ability to complete any and all new patient documents prior to your first visit or on the day of your appointment. When you arrive, our receptionist can help guide you through the process of completing these forms in our New Patient Center. These forms are important, as they provide Dr. Harrington and our team with a health history and information about your condition.

NEW PATIENT FORM

Your Initial Consultation

Understanding your condition and any health-related problems or concerns is a critical step to allowing Dr. Harrington to provide you with an effective, personalized chiropractic treatment plan. Your initial consultation with Dr. Harrington is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations from chiropractic treatment to help us determine how to best meet those goals.

Your Comprehensive Chiropractic Exam

Once we have collected a detailed health history and discussed your goals for treatment, Dr. Harrington will perform a comprehensive chiropractic exam, including a test of your reflexes, flexibility, and noting any areas for concern or pain. We will also conduct other standard tests, including neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical.

X-Rays

Depending on your condition, Dr. Harrington may suggest taking x-rays. X-rays are an important diagnostic tool that can give our team a more well-rounded and complete view of your specific condition, allowing us to create the most effective treatment plan possible. These can help us identify misalignments, spinal issues, and degeneration.

Detailed Report of Our Findings

Once Dr. Harrington has completed your initial consultation and thorough chiropractic examination, our team will work diligently to compile our findings to present you with a personalized report and recommended treatment plan. This plan will outline details, such as, how we expect to help you, the frequency of your suggested visits, and an initial breakdown of cost for treatment. When needed, we can discuss recommendations and suggestions for additional providers, if your condition requires or would benefit from the care of other healthcare professionals. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to wellness and get  you back on the path to being comfortable and pain-free.

Your First Chiropractic Treatment

Concluding your appointment, you can choose to undergo your first treatment session. This can range from spinal adjustments and physical therapies to soft tissue massage or any combination of these. Comfort is our main objective from the moment you enter our facility, so we encourage you to express any concerns you may have regarding your treatment with our staff at anytime.

Continue Your Care at Home with Our Wellness Program

In order to help our patients make the most of their chiropractic treatment, we will often suggest at-home wellness programs and exercises to maximize the end results of your in-office visits. These can include the application of heat and/or ice, activities or positions to avoid, and exercises and stretching regimens. Part of what makes our center unique is that we don't just focus on the chiropractic part of the puzzle - we aim to work with our patients to establish healthy habits and lifestyle choices to achieve total body wellness. This can include addressing diet, exercises routines, and your mental health.
